About Us
We are a group of parents who recognize the importance of combating isolation and stigma, and promoting recovery and connection in the post-partum journey. The mothering table started with two women who came together wanting to help other mothers feel better. To let them know that it will get better, and they will laugh again. They knew it was essential to support other women living with post-partum depression and anxiety.
They connected with some boomers with the gift of mothering and hosting, and the mothering table began in Squamish in January 2020.
The Mothering Table provides two ways to connect:

The Mothering Table provides two ways to connect:
1) A Dinner table:
- Once a month, women are welcome to gather for dinner together to have a social atmosphere to check in and share. To connect with one another over food, with no obligations. While the conversation may be initiated with a question, women are able to just be present, and engage however they feel most comfortable.
- The table is hosted by women who are grandmothers that recognize the importance of connecting with & supporting younger mothers and children.
- As people who are in a journey of recovery from post-partum depression and anxiety, we know what it means to need support in the hardest times of parenting. We provide a telephone for mothers to call during these times, if it is in the middle of the night, or during the day.
